Tracesmart ID Verification Tool
Identity theft – with the cost on the UK economy estimated at a staggering £1.7 billion (Home office Identity Fraud Steering Committee), it is imperative that all business’ have a concise anti-fraud policy and the necessary methods to facilitate it.
Mike John, Business Development Director at Tracesmart Ltd states "Whilst traditionally this involved time consuming and costly manual validation techniques, the digital age has allowed for a much more economic and efficient procedure to evolve, namely electronic identity verification."
"We have just launched our own very sophisticated E-ID verification tool – Smart ID Plus™ - which promises to be one of the most powerful and efficient identity and residency validation tools available." he continued.
The new service compares customer information against a multitude of independent datasets, which include current and historical Electoral Rolls, the UK’s most comprehensive mortality file and their unique Tracesmart Register, containing over 30m precise dates of birth. The system then generates a detailed auditable report, including a Smartscore™, an intuitive combined identity and residency scorecard, which allows for a risk based approach to any financial transaction.
Understanding that different companies have different needs, Tracesmart has developed HTML, XML and batch processing accessibility, providing a three-tiered, flexible identity verification system.
If you require further information or have any general queries relating to the new service, please contact their Sales Team on 0870 420 4886. For a limited period, they are offering a free 7 day trial of their system.
